SIX UNIQUE VENUES ALL CELEBRATING JUNETEENTH

Enjoy fun for the entire family as you celebrate the Springboro Juneteenth Jubilee at six unique venues across the city the weekend of Juneteenth. Attend all six or choose your favorites. On Saturday, a shuttle will be available to take you to each location. Enjoy music and live performances at North Park, explore sites of the Underground Railroad, bicycle in our Freedom Ride, or sign up for our 3-on-3 basketball tournament.

NORTH PARK AMPHITHEATER

Experience live music & performances, local vendors, food trucks, giveaways and more! The party begins at 12 p.m. and goes until 9 p.m. Join us at the North Park Amphitheater at 195 Tamarack Trail, Springboro, OH 45066. Musical performances by:

UNDERGROUND RAILROAD TOURS

Explore real sites of the Underground Railroad. With map in hand, visit 5 unique sites on a self-guided tour where volunteers at each stop will teach you more about how our Quaker ancestors were able to help slaves on their path to freedom.

 

The Springboro Area Museum will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. for visitors while the tours take place throughout the city. Visitors can get their map for the tour directly at the Springboro Area Museum located at 110 S. Main St. Springboro, OH 45066.  Visitors will also be able to catch a shuttle to the museum from our two other venue locations.

3-ON-3 BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT

A 3-on-3 basketball tournament for all ages from U-12 to 40+. Event will take place at the Coffman YMCA of Greater Dayton at 88 Remick Blvd, Springboro, OH 45066. All games will be played outside, weather permitting, with indoor facilities available, if needed. First game will tip off at 9:00 a.m. Check in will begin at 8:00 a.m. Between games, players are invited to take the shuttle to go experience the other two venues during the festival. USE Code EarlyBird2022 by May 30th for 50% off registration.

 FREEDOM RIDE

Take part in a day of cycling for freedom, co-hosted by our friends at the MLK Coalition of Lebanon, Ohio. Cycle from Lebanon to Springboro, Ohio, and then join us for other festivities happening around the city that day.

All happening, beginning 8am on Friday, June 17th, the day before the Springboro Juneteenth Jubilee. A NIGHT OF JAZZ WITH FRIENDS 

Join us for a fun evening of jubilation and jazz as we kickoff our Second Annual Springboro Juneteenth Jubilee. Enjoy music performed by Speak of Peace as we share a meal together. All proceeds go to support The Springboro Juneteenth Jubilee*. The evening begins the night of Friday June 17th with cocktails from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm, with dinner following. This is an open event where ALL are welcome, 21 and up please. We look forward to celebrating with you!
